Producer Responsibility and WEEE in Lithuania
Lithuania WEEE Regulations
Baxter products are sold in Lithuania by distributors. The distributor acts as the importer of the equipment into Lithuania. Thus the distributor has the legal responsibility to:
- Register as the WEEE producer in Lithuania.
- Finance arrangements for collection and recycling of WEEE arising from Baxter products that the distributor sells in Lithuania.

Health & Safety Information
Baxter's customers sending equipment for recycling are required to provide a decontamination certificate for medical equipment prior to collection. Infected WEEE is not included under the scope of the directive and customers should be aware that WEEE that presents a health or safety risk to personnel because of contamination will be refused for collection.
