Producer Responsibility and WEEE in Greece

Greece WEEE Regulations

The institutional and legal framework that is in effect in Greece for the Management of the Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment is determined by the Presidential Decree no. 117 transposing the WEEE and RoHS Directives on 5 March 2004

Baxter Obligation

All WEEE that Baxter handles is classed as B2B. Baxter is registered at the Competent Authority (EAR) under No. DE14799692. Baxter have created an option for the return and disposal of WEEE from business users for new equipment placed on the market after 13. August 2005. Baxter works together with a local certified recycling company to provide this service.
For WEEE placed on the market before 13. August 2005 the end business user is responsible for the disposal of that equipment.

WEEE Collection & Recycling Information

Baxter has established a recycling contract with Appliances Recycling S.A. collective system. We report our product sales and pay our fees on a regular basis to Appliances Recycling S.A. Fees paid by Baxter cover:

  • Cost of Collection, Transport and Temporary Storage of WEEE,
  • Cost of Transport of the WEEE at the Treatment Units,
  • Cost of Treatment of the WEEE,
  • Cost of publicity,
  • Administrative costs of the System.

Our Customer Services will coordinate the transport of the WEEE to our facilities from where the wastes are to be disposed for final treatment to APPLIANCES RECYCLING SA.
