With a background in engineering, Chris Gutmann has been in pursuit of improving processes and solving challenges. In 2008, Chris changed his career path to healthcare, working to see all the delivery pathways and understand where technology can be improved. To date, he has worked in US government-funded programs, Ivy League teaching medicine, community hospitals, outpatient care, telemedicine, startups, and Fortune 500 organizations. Building upon experiences and continued learning to make high-quality healthcare accessible through smart engineering, Chris advances a culture of relentless innovation through technology and IT architecture to help improve care efficiency and enable research through large-scale data analysis. Here at Baxter, the Global Integrated Solutions team is working across the Baxter product portfolio with healthcare providers around the world to harmonize on supporting people taking care of people for better outcomes and healthier communities.
