Human Subject Research Policy
Baxter believes Human Subject Research (HSR) is critical to ensure that investigational and commercially available medical products are developed and supported by scientifically valid safety, efficacy, and effectiveness data. We are committed to sharing results from these studies in a manner that is accurate, clear, and not misleading.
We aim for the highest integrity and ethical standards in our studies. We have mechanisms in place to ensure the accuracy, trustworthiness, and security of the data that our studies generate. Baxter's Worldwide Medical department is accountable for oversight of all human subject research and ensures our studies are designed to answer appropriate research questions; are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
Baxter is committed to ensuring that the value of the data generated from human subject participation in clinical research is maximized so that the contribution of those subjects is properly respected. Baxter adheres to applicable publication and transparency standards. We also have a process where researchers can request de-identified patient level data from our clinical studies to help them address legitimate scientific questions. Please refer to Baxter's Publication and Data transparency policy for more information.
