Blood Pressure Cuff Supply Updates
Updated March 28, 2025
DEERFIELD, Ill. -
We understand the critical importance of supply continuity and are committed to providing transparent and proactive communications related to the temporary supply constraint of Baxter’s Blood Pressure Cuffs. We thank you for your understanding as we navigate this challenge. Please see below for relevant information that will be updated regularly.
Manufacturing: Baxter’s manufacturing of BP Cuffs continues to operate at 100% production on a 24/7 schedule, producing volumes and shipments consistent with pre-disruption amounts. Please be aware that full product flow through distribution may take one to two weeks from shipment.
NEW: We are pleased to share that we’ve made significant progress in our capacity expansion plan, including the installation of one blood pressure cuff machine in the U.S., which has been fully operational and shipping cuffs since March 14. This will be followed by another U.S.-based product machine that we expect to be fully operational in late May. As previously communicated, these capital equipment investments and diversification of our manufacturing locations will support the acceleration of our backlog recovery and our supply agility going forward.
Supply - NEW: We are pleased to share that as of March 28, our highest volume cuffs, FlexiPort Standardization/RAW Soft, will be removed from allocation effective March 31. We anticipate that the FlexiPort Fully-Configured cuffs, the only remaining cuffs on allocation, will be removed from allocation in mid-April.
NEW: Current allocation guidance by category as of March 28 can be found in the link below.
