EHS&S Policy

EHS&S Policy

In support of Baxter's Mission To Save and Sustain Lives, we are dedicated to continuous improvement in environmental, occupational health, safety and sustainability performance.

To create value for our employees, our customers, our suppliers and contractors, the communities and the patients that we serve, and to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and Baxter requirements, we commit to:

Prioritize Compliance

We will prioritize environmental compliance and operational excellence across our value chain, actively pursuing opportunities to minimize our environmental footprint and mitigate risk. We will drive programs to achieve Baxter's environmental goals as we strive to conserve resources, including water and energy, to minimize use of hazardous chemicals, and to reduce emissions, discharges and waste.

Promote Health & Safety

We will engage all levels of the organization in a culture of safety and wellness in pursuit of a zero-harm workplace. We will work to eliminate causes of injury, promote healthy mindsets and enhance employee well-being.

Protect the Planet

We will strive to reduce or eliminate adverse impacts that may be associated with our manufacturing, distribution, logistics, products and services; and we will collaborate with our supply chain partners and customers to do the same. We will advance key global frameworks as we do our part to combat global climate change, aligning our efforts with a science-based target, and we will support communities with projects that uphold the human right to water and sanitation.

Baxter's EHS&S Policy is integral to our business and its implementation is based on personal accountability for results and integrity. We set goals, measure progress and regularly report performance to our stakeholders. We periodically review this Policy to ensure that our actions to carry it out are aligned with our Code of Conduct and our conviction to uphold Ethics and Compliance in everything we do.
