| What types of ideas are we looking for? |
We are interested in a wide range of renal-related ideas, technologies, products and
processes that can be applied to the treatment and prevention of chronic and end stage renal disease. Whenever possible the ideas should be unique and preferably patented
to provide competitive edge.

| Ideas can come from many different sources |
- You may be an individual who has developed an idea with an application in dialysis but need help to turn that idea into a product.
- You could be working in a university and have developed a new technology or technique that could be used on one of our existing products, or may represent a new type of dialysis product.
- You may work in a dialysis unit and have developed a new piece of software that improves the analysis of patient results.
- You may work in an organization that owns technology with an application in renal disease prevention or treatment, but do not wish to explore that potential, as the renal market is a market outside your company’s core business.
- You may represent another company that has developed new products (devices or pharmaceuticals), but needs additional resources or Baxter’s expertise to complete the product’s development to final production.

| What ideas are of less interest to Baxter? |
Baxter is less interested in ideas that are not protected by a patent. Such ideas give Baxter little, if any, competitive advantage. Ideas concerning trademarks, advertising or slogans may be protected to some degree by copyright or as trademarks, but their value usually comes from the marketing and promotion, and not from the idea itself. These ideas are not within the scope of KidneyConcepts.com. For that reason Baxter is ordinarily unwilling to consider these suggestions.
