Aquarius System

CRRT Instrument

Baxter and Edwards Lifesciences have combined together to form a Critical Care Nephrology Alliance in order to offer a comprehensive portfolio for Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT). In the U.S., this portfolio is managed by Baxter.

The Aquarius system is an automated fluid balance monitoring system that is fully integrated for CRRT and plasma exchange therapies. It incorporates advanced software technology with a smart, intuitive interface design that allows clinicians to focus on their patients.

Rx Only. For complete instructions, including warnings and precautions, please refer to the Aquarius Operator's Manual.

Description

The Aquarius system allows you to deliver multiple modalities of CRRT and plasma exchange therapies in the intensive care environment. The Aquarius system allows you to perform high volume exchanges to meet the evolving needs of existing and future therapies. The smart, clinician-friendly interface provides on-screen step-by-step setup instructions with zoom graphics. With its' automatic volume control and monitoring of solutions, the Aquarius system actively seeks zero balance error over the course of the treatment. Additionally, the Aquarius system has an automatic degassing unit that eliminates the need to manually remove air from solutions. Clinicians can hang up to 20 liters of solution on the Aquarius system scales, which minimizes the need for frequent solution bag changes.

Uses

The Aquarius system offers Slow Continuous Ultrafiltration (SCUF), Continuous Veno-Venous Hemofiltration (CVVH), Continuous Veno-Venous Hemodialysis (CVVHD), Continuous Veno-Venous Hemodialfiltration (CVVHDF), and Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE).
