CLEARLINK IV Access System

CLEARLINK IV Access System
Baxter's portfolio includes products for administering medication and IV solutions, drawing blood, removing huber needles and accessing chemotherapeutic medication vials. The CLEARLINK Access System brings to you a luer activated valve with a clear housing and double seal design that provides protection against system pressures and vacuum spikes.
CLEARLINK IV Access System

CLEARLINK combines standard set technology with unique design characteristics including a non-latex, clear polycarbonate housing, a large easy-to-swab injection surface and a silicone-based double design. This cost-effective access system virtually eliminates needlestick injuries during IV set access procedures.

Safety Focused:

  • Health-care workers: CLEARLINK's double seal design helps prevent back pressure and leakage since the seal tightens in relation to increased back pressure. This unique design also helps prevent valve leakage, a potential safety issue for blood-borne pathogens.
  • Patients: The clear housing enables visualization of the fluid path. Clinicians can monitor what is happening inside the valve, helping them detect precipitates from incompatible drugs or blood clots resulting from inadequate flushing.

System Features:

  • Needleless - reduces needlestick injuries and helps facilities meet OSHA safety standards.
  • Robust Double Seal Design - helps prevent back pressure leakage.
  • Fewer System Components - streamlines inventory/purchasing process.
  • Standard Set Technology - reduces teardown costs.
  • Clear Housing - provides visualization of fluid path.
  • Lipid and Blood Compatible - suitable for TPN and blood transfusion.
  • Suitable for Arterial Line Applications - can be used in both venous and arterial applications.
  • Non-Latex - product will not contribute to latex sensitivity.
  • Flat, Swabbable Surface - easy to clean and disinfect.
