Obtaining Service Agreements

These valuable service agreements begin when your instrument warranty expires, enabling you to maintain the same level of protection with no interruption in coverage. You can purchase an Extended Hardware Repair Service agreement when you purchase your Baxter device. One year of coverage starts at the end of the warranty period for the device.

Extended service contracts are available on the following pumps through your sales representative or by calling 1-800-THE-PUMP.

In-shop Instrument Repair

This service is a lower-cost option than onsite repair, yet still provides fast comprehensive service. Simply ship your instrument to a Global Technical Services facility. The device will be repaired and returned to you, typically within five business days. This plan keeps your equipment in optimal operating condition and includes the following:

  • Extensive Diagnostics and Testing, with a level of scrutiny not feasible at your site.
  • Instument repair to applicable specifications, using only certified parts.
  • Return shipment to you with your unit carefully packaged.

Additional Instrument Service Options

Flexible service options available through Global Technical Services display our commitment to meeting the needs of our customer. In addition to our warranty protection plans, we offer other convenient service options:

  • Preventive Maintenance:
    JCAHO requires equipment used in direct patient care be tested in accordance with manufacturer’s written guidelines. Baxter can thoroughly test your devices once a year in accordance with the guidelines established in the product’s Service Manual. Testing is completed with stringent adherence to the manufacturer’s guidelines. Additionally, our Preventive Maintenance program covers some repairs. A comprehensive written report is provided with each pump certification. No contract is required, PM's are pay as you go by serial number.
  • Retail Repair Services:
    Global Technical Services repair and maintenance services are available as needed, on a time and materials basis.
