DEERFIELD, Ill., November 17, 2004 – Baxter International Inc. (NYSE:BAX) announced today that the company’s Board of Directors has elected Robert M. Davis as treasurer.
Davis, age 37, joins Baxter from Eli Lilly and Company, where he most recently served as director of corporate financial planning. He joined Eli Lilly in 1990, and served in a number of positions with increasing responsibility in the tax and treasury areas, including tax counsel and assistant treasurer. As assistant treasurer, he oversaw the global treasury operations, including direct responsibility for cash flow planning, capital markets, back office operations, working capital management and affiliate funding worldwide. He received his juris doctorate, magnum cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and his master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, after graduating from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
