Joining the Program

The Financial Development Program (FDP) is seeking candidates who have achieved academic success and demonstrated leadership, teamwork and initiative within and outside of the classroom environment. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the flexibility to adapt to people, cultures, and constantly changing global issues.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Is an accounting or finance undergraduate major with at least twelve (12) credit hours in accounting. NOTE: All analysts must have at least fifteen (15) credit hours in accounting upon graduating from the program.
  • Has a record of academic excellence.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and can adapt to and work well with diverse sets of situations and people, including cross-cultural adaptation.
  • Is willing to relocate and travel when required. NOTE: Associates are expected to move to a new business location every nine (9) months.
  • Speaks fluent English and has had& exposure to other languages.
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Baxter's short- and long-term business needs: initiative/drive, critical/analytical thinking, flexibility, effective decision-making, and relationship building skills.
  • Has the legal right to work permanently in the United States.
How To Apply

There are two methods for applying to the Financial Development Program (FDP), depending on which college candidates attend.

 

Method 1: Students attending “targeted schools” -- University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), Indiana University (Bloomington), Northern Illinois University, University of Notre Dame (Indiana),and Miami University (Ohio) -- should visit their college placement office to determine when representatives from Baxter will be on campus and sign up for interviews.

 

Method 2: If students attend other universities and meet the FDP qualifications, they may add their résumés to the career database by clicking the Career Database link, where candidates may log in and submit their resume. The FDP program manager will be notified of the interest and will contact students if their skills match the FDP needs.
